7 Practical Ways For Students To Save Pocket Money Smartly

Saving maximum from the minimum pocket money you get as a student is a difficult task but not impossible. It just requires extra wise behaviour and maturity to cut short on our futile expenses. And use the same saved amount for fulfilling our heart's desire. Isn't it easy?

Students are easily captured by the whims and fancies of the world so much so that they don't even realize that in the beginning of the first few days of the month itself they have run short of all pocket money.

Distractions are bound to happen but the remote is in your own pocket.

Are you a student who is struggling to manage the pocket money for the entire month?

Are you a student who wants to save maximum by spending just peanuts and still be happy?

Are you a student who wants to learn practical tips but still fails to follow it?

Then, THIS ARTICLE IS FOR YOU. If it helps you, kindly share it with your friends and classmates and spread the message of the power of saving.

Here is the list of the 7 Practical Ways To Save Smartly:

  1. Load A Copy

As a student our major investment is on textbooks & reference books. Due to advancement in educational technology, most textbooks are made available in the form of E-Books. It would be wise to download the free versions on our mobile phones and make self notes referring to it. Alternatively,  there are also many used books which are sold as second hand books at a much cheaper rate in the book shops which can also serve best to our purpose. It's more cost effective to download than to purchase multiple reference books.

  1. Walk A Mile

Student life is a busy, tiring life with those heavy weights on our shoulders and heavy thoughts on our heads. Our loving and caring parents always give us something extra for our travelling so that we don't spend our energy in physical walking or we don't get tired. But walking a mile instead of hiring an auto rickshaw is not only cost effective but also beneficial to our health. Chat with your friends and walk in a group, it's the most memorable days of a student's life. You will never realize how many miles you have crossed with them. It acts as a rejuvenation for your mind and body.

  1. Pack A Bite

Being a foodie, we as a student skip to eat the tiffin box packed by our beloved mother or we mostly discourage our mother from packing the box so that you can hang out on something more yummy and tasty outside. Though it's a ₹10 Vada Pav or ₹30 Pan Pizza, we shell out our maximum to get that taste which slowly becomes a habit for our taste buds. These same kinds of yummy foods can be made more healthy and hygienic at our sweet home. And our loving mothers are always at our service just waiting for orders. Most of our money is wasted eating outside food which additionally adds to our health too. So become wise, spend rightly, eat healthy homemade food, and save the best.

  1. Write A Note

Being put in a hectic schedule of attending college/school, coaching centers, activity classes etc we barely manage to get enough time for writing notes by self and fall prey to the practice of carbon copying or xeroxing frequently, which adds to our expenses. One should be capable of managing the daily routine wisely so that you get sufficient time to frame your own notes instead of taking xerox of others creativity. The practice of writing self notes also boosts our writing skills, gives best clarity, helps in better memorization and retention of the learnt concepts.

  1. Gift A Skill

Students and celebrations go hand in hand. Students just need a reason to celebrate. Be it someone's birthday, achievement in academics or sports, personal success or else. Giving gifts is the trend. Every student is blessed with a unique talent, one just has to identify it and sharpen this skill. Gift doesn't mean that you shell out your entire pocket money to give the best from the market for your best friend but it means more than that. Gifting your skills like special painting done by you, making useful crafty stuff, framing and singing a song, making a beautiful greeting card etc. can be much more worthy than the one you purchase from the shops. So brush up your skills, open up your hidden talents and explore yourself.

  1. Control A Wish

Distractions are everywhere and in everything that we experience. Being young, as a student we generally tend to desire for so many things,  useful or not so useful on an everyday basis. We go out of our limit to purchase something which was not in our list. For example: Walking by the road we come across a shop featuring trendy stylish keychains, as a student we will surely jump in to purchase some for the style factor. So, you got it right. Just for fulfilling the style factor, you shell out money even when it is not required. So as a student, we all should learn to control our wishes and desires and save better.

  1. Share A Bill

When we hang out or party with our friends it's always a costly affair! Isn't it? Yes,it is! We, for the prestige issue, feel shy or awkward when we are not in the good position to sponsor one all alone. But wouldn't it be great if we all as friends share the total contribution equally? By which we can reduce the burden on just one person and even one will feel relaxed that not much is spent and still you are left with many more in my pocket. Start implementing this, I am sure you will save mightily.

Isn't it surprising??? Wasn't it so simple. So follow these practical ways and be successful all your way.
